Cardboard bicycle project
Israeli Izhar Gafni has taken garden-shed projects to a whole new level. For years, he obsessed about the idea of making a cardboard bicycle that could be sold for $20, affordable for the developing world, and the perfect solution to beat urban traffic. Izhar was told that his dream bike was impossible to make. The doubters obviously didn't know him very well!
I know what you're thinking: What happens when it rains? Izhar's bike is treated with a special solution so it's totally waterproof. The first range of bikes and a wheelchair go into production next year.
