This Massachusetts middle school's elaborate surprise for its retiring principal is going to make your day.
On June 7, students and faculty at Hingham Middle School surprised Roger Boddie, the school's principal of 36 years, with a farewell flash mob.
A film crew brought Boddie to the roof of a new building under the guise of making a video about the school's construction projects. Then, the whole school participated in a dance number to Journey's 'Don't Stop Believin'' accompanied by signs that said "Thank you for believing in us."
“We wanted to make it special for him because of how special he is to us, show him how much we will miss him,” seventh-grader Maggie Raso told CBS.
Faculty told the news source that they had been planning the surprise for weeks without Boddie's knowledge.
"Well, when people ask me what I'm going to miss, I think I know what it is," he says in the video.
See the entire video above, but be warned -- it's a tear-jerker.
